Art Afternoon for the Summer Festival

Today we had a fantastic art afternoon to prepare props and decorations for the summer festival. We had six very kind FOSHS volunteers come in school organize and run the afternoon.
The crafts:
FSU were getting messy with green handprints to create bushes. They also painted large cardboard tubes for trees and made some lovely bunting.
Class 1 got stuck into decorating 32 roses. They used a variety of scrap materials to give and interesting effect. They also decorated cakes also using different scrap fabrics, paper and paints.
Class 2 made large playing cards by painting their design on. Next they went on to painting a mixture of teacups and teapots in a variety of lovely bright colours.
Class 3 were busy making signs for a signpost with some unusual directions. They also painted large cut outs of the Queen of Hearts and the Madhatter. They look great!
A massive thank-you to all the FOSHS members who helped to make the afternoon a massive success.
