Trip to Blenheim Palace – September 29th 2016
As part of Class 3’s topic on World War 2, we visited Blenheim Palace, situated at the edge of Woodstock.
We were given a detailed tour of the palace, which focused on the life of Winston Churchill. The children thoroughly enjoyed this insight into the life of this fascinating man and impressed our guides with their knowledge and enthusiasm.
The children were also able to stroll around the grounds of the Palace and spent time sketching interesting features of the magnificent building.
Both Mrs Clark and I were extremely impressed with how exceptionally well behaved all of the children were. They were a real credit to our school and we feel very proud of them all. The guides themselves commented that our groups were two of the nicest school tour groups they had ever taken – a wonderful compliment to receive!!
“The group of children who visited Blenheim today from Stanton Harcourt School were wonderful. A great credit to your school.”
