Term 3

The children have been enjoying our topic ‘What did the Weatherman say…” and have been very keen weather watchers.  We have been closely observing the weather and have also set up a rain gauge in our playground and have been measuring the rain and temperature daily.

Term 2

The children worked so hard this term. We began by learning about lots of different festivals and the children really enjoyed learning about Diwali, Firework night and Hanukkah and of course Christmas! The topic prompted lots of rich vocabulary and some fantastic role play. Below are some photos from the Term:

We were incredibly impressed with how focused the children were with learning their dances and the songs for ‘Lights Camel Action’ and we are sure you’ll agree, they did everyone proud!

Here are some photographs of our end of term celebrations.  We really enjoyed our music session with Saltbox.

Forest School

During Term 2, the children have really enjoyed Forest School “It’s the best time of the week” many of the children say! We’ve been very lucky take part in the following activities this term; outdoor paint gallery, puppet shows, made woodland crowns, Bear Hunt through the woods, flower poises and reindeer decorations.   Please continue to send your child in with warm clothes as during Term 3 we will still be going every Friday.

We have had a great first Term at Forest School. We have made stick men, used puppets to tell stories, built dens, hunted for bugs and of course enjoyed some biscuits and hot chocolate! We can’t wait to see what Term 2 has to offer.  Please see below for some pictures:
