Welcome to the Early Years Foundation Stage Unit
Our topic this term is called ‘Let’s Celebrate!’. We will be learning about Diwali, Bonfire Night, Remembrance Sunday, Hannukah and of course Christmas! Please see our topic web to find out more:
We have had a great first Term at Forest School. We have made stick men, used puppets to tell stories, built dens, hunted for bugs and of course enjoyed some biscuits and hot chocolate! We can’t wait to see what Term 2 has to offer. Please see below for some pictures:
We enjoyed learning about ‘People Who Help Us’. We have been very lucky to have had a visit from PCSO Sandra Syphas. She told us all about her job, showed us her uniform and even let us sit in a police car. She has left us Polly the PCSO bear to look after. We are going to enjoy finding out more about people who help us with Polly.
Our Local Walk
We really enjoyed learning about our local community. We went on a walk of the local area and found out lots about the history of the village. Mrs Tweedy told us all about the history of the church and Manor House. We then walked all the way down to the abandoned World War 2 air base. When we got back to class when had a class discussion about what we had learnt. We could not believe how much the children had remember.
Please do check the website regularly because we will be updating the site weekly with our class news and photographs.
