We had a very exciting week last week. After months of waiting, we were at last able to dig up our potatoes, I hope they tasted as good as they looked. A huge thank you to Mr Wells for so expertly guiding us through to our end result.
We have also constructed our Wormery and are carefully observing it, adding food and ensuring that the soil is kept damp. Please do come and have a look at the end of a day, I know the children would love to share this with you.
It was wonderful to see so many of you on Saturday at the fete, riding on the float is always exciting and the weather could not have been better. Lots of you had amazing costumes and performed so well in front of a huge crowd – well done. Also a big thanks to the children that so expertly manned Squirrel Class stall, explaining the game, taking money and giving change – great English and Maths skills were displayed. I still have a lot of Flying Saucers left so will think how to best sell these in order to raise more funds for our sister school in Uganda.
After a long wait especially by the Year 2 children, Hill End is finally here! Pictures to follow next week.
