Hedgehogs Class Post
We’ve had such a busy and exciting week in Hedgehogs!
In English, we wrote some amazing setting descriptions, imagining what it would have felt like to be in the Great Fire of London. I have been really impressed with everyone’s imagination and brilliant vocabulary—it really brought the writing to life.
In Maths, we have been comparing numbers and creating our own number lines. The children are becoming more confident in spotting patterns and explaining their thinking.
In PE, we had lots of fun learning about balance and exploring different points of contact with the ground.
Homework Reminder
Homework books have gone home this week. These are a lovely chance for the children to share their learning at home.
-
Try to keep up with reading and practicing spellings as often as you can.
-
Year 2s have some challenge words to focus on—but if the Year 1s want to give them a go too, that would be amazing!
-
We’d also love to see any learning or experiences outside of school added into the books.
✨ If books are brought in on a Thursday, the children will get to proudly share their wonderful homework with the class.
Well done, Hedgehogs—you’ve all worked so hard this week!
