Year 6 has been a hive of activity this week, brushing up our grammar and reading skills and tackling a wide range of maths questions. The children continue to enjoy their PE lessons, this term learning athletics skills, and Music lessons, developing their guitar-playing. We had a very interesting Science lesson looking at inheritance and did a class survey of the number of people who have certain inheritable traits. There is a homework task related to this – do ask your child about it! In Art, we have been turning our mosaic border designs into reality with block printing as we tried to ‘Keep in line, keep it close but leave a little gap’. Some children managed to rotate their design to develop an effective repeating pattern. I hope you all have a very happy celebration of the Coronation and enjoy the long weekend.
