Dear Parents and Carers,
We’ve had another fab week in Badgers Class, filled with amazing ideas, hard work and, of course, no end of fun!
- In English – We explored direct speech, using macaroni as inverted commas to help us understand where speech marks belong. A fun and memorable way to practise our punctuation!
- In Maths – We tackled the tricky task of rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1,000. The children showed great perseverance as they developed their confidence with this new skill.
- In History – We explored the importance of the River Nile in Ancient Egyptian times. We created our own mini Nile and flooded it, making our own silt and observing how well the surrounding land absorbed the river water. It was a brilliant hands-on way to understand why the Nile was so important to the Ancient Egyptians!
- In RE – We created Mitzvot Project posters, thinking about ways Jewish people can lead a good life through their actions and choices. The children came up with some fantastic and thoughtful ideas.
Another brilliant week all round – well done Badgers!
Best wishes,
Miss Benfield and Mrs Green
