Dear Parents and Carers,
What a completely exciting week we have had in Badgers Class!
- In English – The children have been writing detailed setting descriptions based on a river scene, using the descriptive techniques they have been learning to bring their writing to life.
- In Maths – We have continued our work on fractions, learning how to add and subtract fractions with increasing confidence.
Humanities Day
A real highlight of the week was our special Humanities Day, where we celebrated the host nations of the FIFA World Cup. The children created Canadian totem poles, designed colourful Mexican Day of the Dead masks, took part in a fun photo booth celebrating traditional hats from around the world, and discovered the incredible national parks that each nation has to offer. It was a fantastic day of creativity and cultural exploration.
FOSHS Obstacle Course
We also enjoyed taking part in the FOSHS obstacle course, raising money for all the wonderful opportunities and experiences that FOSHS helps to provide for our school. The children showed great enthusiasm and determination throughout.
It has been another successful week full of learning, creativity, and fun as we begin counting down to the summer holidays!
Best wishes,
Miss Benfield and Mrs Green
