Badger Class News 10.09

Dear Parents and Carers,

We’ve had another fantastic and busy week in Badgers Class! The children have shown great enthusiasm across all of their learning.

  • In Maths – We have been exploring how to represent numbers up to 10,000, developing our understanding of place value.
  • In English – We have been learning about coordinating and subordinating conjunctions, exploring how we can use them to join ideas and make our sentences more interesting.
  • In History – We brought history to life by creating a human timeline, identifying different ancient civilisations and discovering how some of them coexisted at the same time. This helped us begin to understand where Ancient Egypt fits into the wider story of history.
  • In Art – We created our own Ancient Egyptian-inspired artwork. We used tea and coffee to stain our paper and give it an aged appearance before using oil pastels to create our colourful Egyptian designs.

Another fantastic effort from Badgers this week – well done everyone! We are looking forward to another exciting week of learning next week.

Best wishes,
Miss Benfield and Mrs Green
