Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been a fantastic first week back after half term, with the children settling beautifully back into routines.
- In Maths – We have been multiplying 3-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers, showing great focus and determination with this new challenge.
- In English – We have begun our new class book, A River, and the children are already intrigued and excited to explore the story further.
- In PSHE – We made the most of our new outdoor benches while exploring stereotypes. The children wrote thoughtful poems to challenge ideas about “old people,” showing empathy and maturity in their discussions.
- In Science – We started our new topic on states of matter, exploring the properties of solids and how they differ from liquids and gases — and yes, we were even allowed to drop water on the carpet as part of our investigation!
- In Geography – We looked at the water cycle and even managed to create our own precipitation in the classroom, which the children absolutely loved!
- In PE – We have been learning basketball skills, practicing dribbling, passing, and control.
Overall, it has been an excellent week in Badgers Class, and we are looking forward to continuing our learning next week.
Best wishes,
Miss Benfield and Mrs Green
