We have had a busy but very fun week! Monday afternoon was Science, we explored ‘dark – the absence of light’. After completing a practical experiment to investigate whether or not we could see different objects in the dark, we had fun playing with different types of lights including lasers and UV. On Tuesday, we continued our History learning with a Geography focus, we completed map work to explore which continents the four main ancient civilisations were on. I was very impressed with the Year 3’s knowledge of continents, which they had learnt last year with Miss Nicol and the Year 4’s were able to think back to their learning in our ‘Field to Fork’ topic and discuss why the civilisations may have developed in those specific locations. On Wednesday we enjoyed a very active day with inflatable football and basketball with Coach Connor. On Thursday in RE and PSHE, we thought about all

the different members of our school community and why we are such an important part of it. We ended the week with our first French lesson, we enjoyed singing and learning the French words for shapes.
