Badger Class News 19.06

Dear Parents and Carers,

We’ve had another busy and enjoyable week in Badgers Class!

  • In Maths – We have been comparing and ordering mixed fractions, using our hungry greater than/less than crocodiles to help us decide which fractions are larger or smaller.
  • In English – We have started thinking about setting descriptions, using special techniques such as similes, fronted adverbials, and personification to make our writing more vivid and engaging.
  • In Science – We explored the seasons and considered how they impact the plants, habitats, and weather on our planet.
  • In PE – We practices our batting and fielding skills in a game of rounders.
  • In Geography – We discovered how hydroelectric power works and were amazed that water can generate so much energy for us.

We finished the week by creating surprises for special people in our lives ahead of Father’s Day, and the children thoroughly enjoyed showing their creativity.

It has been another fantastic week of learning in Badgers Class. Well done, everyone!

Best wishes,
Miss Benfield and Mrs Green
