In this edition of our newsletter, we are proud to share our ongoing focus on biodiversity, particularly the declining number of hedgehogs in the UK and why this is such an important issue for us all. As part of our learning, each of us has thought about how we can support these incredible mammals, helping to ensure a balanced local ecosystem. By raising awareness and taking action, we’re contributing to a healthier environment for everyone.
In our maths journey, we’ve been mastering the concept of time, learning to tell the time to the nearest 5 minutes. Many of us have been impressing our parents with our new time-telling skills at home! We are also continuing our journey in maths mastery, focusing on division. We’re learning how to partition numbers into known facts to help with our calculations and deepen our understanding.
We have completed our Design Teachnology projects ‘wearable technology’, with a demonstration by Jack of how to use a Micro:bit and creations of our point of sale badgers. We are sure that you would all be persuaded to buy our products!
In writing, we’ve been working on creating and publishing our own sequels to the beautiful story The Promise by Nicola Davies. We are excited to share our imaginative continuations of this inspiring tale. As the date for our school production draws closer, we’ve been thinking about the small, incremental improvements (marginal gains) that we can each make to ensure we deliver a final performance that we can all be proud of. It’s all coming together, and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on!
