Yay! We made it through our second week of assessments. As always, the children have worked so hard and have really impressed Mrs Stevens and I. Of course, we have found time to have lots of fun this week too. In DT, we made the next moving element of our Christmas cards, the children are looking forward to seeing who’s been naughty or nice! In PE, we continued to work on our Egyptian dance and have started to put movements together in time with the music. We had a really interesting History lesson, linking our previous Geography ‘Rivers’ topic, looking at the significance of The Nile to the Ancient Egyptians. We ended our week reading a mystery text, the children realised that it was about Marcy, our missing explorer, they discovered this through making links to the first text and our research involved in writing our online articles. The children’s retrieval skills were very good and we created a huge display of ideas to use in our next writing task.
