We are so proud of our Badgers this week. They have worked so hard in English and produced their first piece of extended writing, a narrative based on our class text ‘Marcy and the Riddle of the Sphinx’. We have really enjoyed reading all of their different plot twists and learning about the new characters they created. In Science and History we did some cross-curricular learning, first finding out how and why the pyramids were built, then imitating how mirrors were used to direct sunlight inside the tombs to light up the walls inside. We ended our week with two lovely team building activities, in PSHE we played games and acted out scenarios that enabled us to reflect on how our actions have consequences on both ourselves and others. And of course, Hill End, a fun packed day full of lots of activities that encouraged working together. Finally, we have elected our school council leaders, well done Seri & Elissa. Mrs Stevens and I were so impressed with all of the children’s speeches and how the children that didn’t win the vote clapped and cheered so enthusiastically for their peers.
