Badgers Weekly News – 28.11

Dear Parents and Carers,

We’ve had another exciting and busy week in Badgers Class, full of hands-on learning and creativity!

  • In English – We have been investigating recounts, exploring their key features and structure in preparation for writing our own recounts about our school trip.

  • In Maths – We’ve delved deeper into column subtraction, working carefully on exchanging over 10 and 100 to solve more challenging problems.

  • In Music – The children have been practicing their songs for The Big Christmas Sing next week — the classroom has been filled with festive energy and lovely singing!

Highlight of the Week
Our school trip to the Oxfordshire Museum in Woodstock was a huge success! The children had a fantastic time exploring the Anglo-Saxon and Viking exhibits. They enjoyed acting out parts of history, creating their own shields, brooches, and spears, and going on a museum hunt to find different artefacts. It was a brilliant day full of curiosity, teamwork, and fun.

Reading Diaries
Reading diaries will go out on Monday.

It’s been a wonderful week of learning — well done, Badgers!

Best wishes,

Miss Benfield & Mrs Green
