This week in Nursery our story of the week was Mixed by Arree Chung. We talked about how everyone is unique and special in their own way, just like the colours in the story.
In Rhyme Time, our focus sound was /n/ for net, and our rhyme was 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Once I Caught a Fish Alive. We linked this to our maths learning, practising using number names and remembering that numbers always come in a set order when we count.
The children have loved exploring colour mixing this week, both with playdough and with paints. We discovered all the wonderful shades we can create using the primary colours.
Outdoors, we’ve been busy too! The children have enjoyed using pipes and planks to roll cars down and see how far they travel. In the water tray, they created their very own “autumn soup” using natural materials, which sparked lots of imaginative play.
Have a great weekend!
