Wow! What a brilliant week the nursery children have had. In rhyme time this week we have learnt a new sound ‘ igh’ as in light and our nursery rhyme is ‘twinkle twinkle little star’ . In P.E this week we explored the rainforest. We were learning to follow instructions and take part in a tagging game.
With the beautiful weather this week we have enjoyed spending lots of time outside, in the sandpit making sandcastles and lots of alfresco snack times.
In PSHE this week the children have been focusing on their classroom rule ‘staying safe’. We have explored different ways we can keep ourselves safe at home and school, such as holding hands with a grown up and making sure there are no cars before we cross the road. This is all in preparation for our ‘beep beep’ day in a couple of weeks.
On Thursday the children all took part in World Book Day. It was wonderful to see the different book characters the children came dressed up in.
