This week our sound of the week has been /e/ for elephant. We have been enjoying a jungle theme to link with our rhyme time song “Down in the Jungle.”
Our book of the week has been Elmer, which linked beautifully with our topic Living, Learning and Growing Together. We have been talking about differences and celebrating what makes us special and unique.
Some of our favourite activities this week have been:
- Playing in our jungle area
- Lots of dressing up as wild animals
- Enjoying plenty of water play outside
- Making our own Elmer elephants
- Talking about how we might be different from our friends
It has been lovely to see the children exploring, talking and learning together while building confidence and friendships. Another great week Bunnies!
