What a busy week we’ve had! The 2 year old’s are all settling in so well and have started to learn about their bodies. We all had so much fun on Wednesday drawing around our bodies and labelling the different parts . The 3-year-olds have enjoyed making their own self-portraits looking in handheld mirrors and drawing on their own features.
In Music we have enjoyed playing musical instruments alongside nursery rhymes.
Our topic this term is Super Me. We have started our new storybook called ‘ I Love Me’ , an affirmation book that helps build children’s self-confidence. The children have really enjoyed reciting these affirmations ‘ I am brave’ , ‘ I am kind’ and ‘ I am happy ’. In circle time the 3-year-olds have been thinking about what makes them happy and have enjoyed sharing their ideas with their friends.
In P.E the 3 year old’s have joined up with the busy bees and have been working on throwing at a target whilst the 2 year old’s have enjoyed taking part in ‘sticky kids’ which is based on music and movement and copying actions.
