This week we have been thinking and exploring Diwali! The children have enjoyed talking about the celebration, looking at books, and getting creative by drawing mehndi patterns, designing their own rangoli patterns, and making diya lamps.
We’ve also had lots of outdoor fun this week, playing with hoops, Duck Duck Goose, and chalking on the pavement.
In phonics, our sound of the week has been /w/ as in web.
In maths, we have been subitising quantities to 3, recognising numbers quickly without counting.
All the children have settled so well this term and are a pleasure. We hope you all have a restful break!
