Our class text has been Sharing a Shell, which helped us explore the importance of sharing and being kind friends. We enjoyed lots of circle time, where the children talked about how to share, take turns, and look after one another.
In maths, we have been practising subitising to 3, helping the children to quickly recognise small groups of objects without counting.
In phonics, we have been learning the ‘ng’ sound and spotting it in words.
We have also enjoyed learning about Earth Day and St George’s Day. The children loved making flags and taking part in a fun activity where they helped rescue animals from a plastic-filled water tray, learning about how we can look after our planet.
