This week, we have been loving our new topic ‘Let’s Explore!’ We enjoyed crafting binoculars and telescopes and using these to explore our surroundings and identify shapes in our environment. Our class text this week has been ‘Shark in the Park’ and the children have loved our messy shark-themed sensory tray.
Our sound of the week was ‘igh’, and the children have enjoyed listening for it and joining in with related activities. In maths, we have been looking at shapes and puzzles, matching shapes to their shadows.
Other activities we have enjoyed include: exploring our new outdoor climbing frame, rolling cars down guttering, planting bulbs ready for spring, and playing in the sandpit, looking for treasures.
