Welcome back and Happy New Year! We’ve had a lovely first week back in Bunnies – with some exciting snowy weather to explore!
The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the snow, using all their senses and sharing their ideas about how it felt and looked. We also talked about snow safety, learning why we don’t throw snowballs or eat snow, and how to play safely together outside.
Inside, the children have been busy exploring our new room layout, confidently moving resources and choosing activities. They’ve enjoyed creating snowflakes with paint and doing lots of mark making in flour (sorry for the mess!), which was a great sensory experience. There has also been lots of nurturing play with the babies, as well as plenty of laughter during hide and seek in the garden.
It’s been wonderful to see how settled and happy the children are – a fantastic start to the new term!
