Another busy week of learning for the Busy Bees!
As part of our topic ‘Our Community’ we have been learning all about our village community. The children loved going on a walk around the village, spotting familiar places and talking about what they are used for. When we got back to school, we drew and labelled our own maps!
In maths, we’ve been practising our 1:1 correspondence. A highlight of the week was icing biscuits: each child was given a number and had to carefully count out the correct amount of toppings… yum!
In RE, we explored the Creation Story, thinking about the different things Christians believe God made. Heather also visited us this week to sing with the children, which they always enjoy.
In phonics, our sounds have been ‘l’ for ladder and ‘ll’ for shell. The children’s reading is becoming very impressive! Thank you for continuing to support them by reading regularly at home.
We’ve also been busy practising for our Nativity, and the children are doing brilliantly, we can’t wait for you to see it!
