Busy Bees and Bunnies Class News – 07.06.24

The children have settled back after a lovely week off. They used their detective skills to work out what the new class topic was – across the Sea to India. We remembered the 7 continents and looked at where India was on a globe. We discussed the climate and compared it to the weather in the UK. We also found out what the different colours on the Indian flag represented. We read the Tiger who came to tea which will be our topic book for the next few weeks. The children enjoyed sharing their holiday news. It’s lovely to see how much their confidence has grown when talking in larger groups. The children were introduced to the artist Georges Seurat who used tiny dots close together to create paintings using cotton buds. The children had great fun  In maths, the Bunnies enjoyed some work around weight whilst the Busy Bees worked hard on automatic recall of number bonds to 5.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend.
