Busy Bees and Bunnies Class News – 09.06.23

It is lovely to see the children return back after half term. The Busy Bees did a fantastic job writing about their holiday news.

We  started looking at our topic ‘India’ and comparing and contrasting the country to Stanton Harcourt and the UK. We talked about passports, found India on our globe and have set up a Travel Agents in our role play area. We have also been reading ‘The tiger who came to tea’

We have had a busy week in Maths this week, the Busy Bees worked hard  composing numbers to 5 by looking at different ways to make amounts to 5 and the Bunnies had fun working on weight, guessing which objects might be heavier/lighter.

The children also had great fun finding out about the Artist Vincent Van Gough. The children used their creativity to carefully recreate his famous masterpiece ‘Starry Night’ (Photos to follow)

The children are still really enjoying watering the plants in our growing area and watching some of the strawberries appear!  We have included a photo to show how well our runner beans grew, which we have planted out in pots.

Have a lovely weekend
