This week in Busy Bees, our sounds of the week have been ‘oi’ as in coin and ‘ear’ as in ear. The children have worked really hard applying these sounds in their reading and writing.
In maths, we have been consolidating our learning on doubles – I have been so impressed with their knowledge of these!
Our book of the week has been Pattan’s Pumpkin. Inspired by the flood story, we enjoyed junk modelling and building our own boats.
In art, we designed our own animals ready to make them out of clay next week.
As part of our topic learning, we also tasted some Indian foods including samosas, onion bhajis, naans and poppadoms. We loved ranking our favourites!
