This week our Busy Bees have been working super hard! We have been completing our baseline assessments and have also started phonics, learning our first two sounds: s (as in sun) and a (as in apple).
We were also very excited to start Drawing Club, a special time where we read a story, draw the character and/or setting and then create our own stories together. Our first character was The Colour Monster and the children drew some amazing monsters and used fantastic vocabulary to share imaginative adventures about what the monster got up to. Well done Busy Bees!
In our Topic, we are looking at ‘Special Me!’ We thought about our class family and the important roles of people in school who keep us safe and help us. We created a lovely class family tree, adding our own faces on leaves to show how we all belong!
