Busy Bees Class News 14.11.25

What a busy week we’ve had in Busy Bees! We’ve been thinking about Remembrance Day and took part in lots of poppy-themed activities to help us remember and say thank you to those who help to keep us safe.

It’s also been Anti-Bullying Week. We celebrated Odd Sock Day by wearing our brightest, most colourful socks to show that we are all unique and special. On Friday, we joined in with Children in Need and enjoyed some Pudsey-themed fun!

In phonics, we have been learning the sound /r/ for rabbit and the common exception word ‘to’. Can your child spot anything at home that starts with an r?

In maths, we’ve been exploring parts and wholes. We made our own fruit kebabs, the different fruits were the parts and the kebab was the whole!

Our topic work has focused on our community and people who help us. The children made lovely thank-you cards for important helpers.

Finally, a big thank you to everyone who came to parents’ evening! It was so lovely catching up and sharing how well everyone is doing.

Have a fab weekend!
