This week in Busy Bees, we have been working hard in phonics, focusing on the ‘ear’ and ‘air’ sounds. The children enjoyed spotting the sounds in words and practising them in their reading and writing.
In maths, we have been exploring numbers to 20 and thinking carefully about how numbers are made.
Our class text is Chapatti Moon. The children used their imaginations to write about the chapatti’s next adventure and came up with some fantastic ideas and descriptions.
In topic, we enjoyed reading a range of Indian folklore stories and talking about the different characters, settings and morals in each tale.
In art, we made our clay animals. The children showed great creativity and care when shaping and adding details to their models, they looked fantastic!
