Busy Bees have had a fantastic start back and have settled into their learning brilliantly.
In phonics, we have been recapping the sounds we learned last term, including oa, igh, oo, ee, ai, ch, sh, and th. I have been so impressed with their recognition and blending of these tricky sounds!
In maths, we have been exploring numbers using rekenreks. The children have been representing numbers and beginning to show “one more.”
Our new topic is Across the World to India! Our class text, The Tiger Who Came to Tea, has been a big hit! The children loved reading the story and have enjoyed writing about all the things the tiger ate. We have also located India on a world map and discussing some of the things we might see there.
