This week in Busy Bees, we have been busy learning lots of new things!

In phonics, we have been practising the digraph ‘ay’ as in crayon and the split digraph ‘a-e’ as in cake. In maths, we have been recapping our knowledge of doubles and exploring odd and even numbers, using practical activities to help us spot patterns and explain our thinking.

Our book of the week has been Jack and the Beanstalk. We have loved bringing the story to life by creating a giant beanstalk paper chain and painting beautiful watercolour beanstalks.

In our topic work, we have been learning about the different parts of a plant and discussing what plants need to grow and stay healthy.

In art, we created some fantastic beanstalks doing some fingerpainting!

Have a great weekend!
