What a fantastic week we’ve had in Busy Bees!
Our sounds of the week have been ‘m’ and ‘n’. We’ve been working hard on our oral blending and segmenting skills. You could practise at home by saying c-a-t and asking, “Can you blend it? What word is it?”
In maths, we’ve been developing our subitising skills up to 5, explaining how we know an amount without counting, such as, “I know it’s 4 because I can see 2 and 2.”
In PE, we became space explorers, practising our jumping skills as we jumped through space and across craters.
We’ve also been thinking about our families, talking about the people who are special to us and creating family portraits.
Our book of the week has been Mixed, which sparked some lovely conversations about differences and how boring life would be if everyone stayed separate!
