Busy Bees Class News 24.04.26

We’ve had a great week in Busy Bees!

In phonics, we’ve learnt the ‘or’ and ‘ar’ sounds. The children have been practising recognising these digraphs in words and using them in their reading and writing.

In maths, we have been looking at the composition of numbers to 10, consolidating our understanding of how numbers can be made in different ways. The children have also begun writing simple number sentences to represent their learning.

As part of our topic work, we explored Rangoli patterns, learning about their importance and creating our own colourful designs.

Our book of the week has been Never Tickle a Tiger, which the children thoroughly enjoyed.

In PSHE, we talked about how we help at home, with the children sharing the different jobs they do to support their families.

In RE, we explored Aesop’s Fables, focusing on the story of The Boy Who Cried Wolf. We discussed the importance of honesty and what we can learn from the story.

Have a fab weekend!
