Welcome back, Busy Bees!
We’ve had a lovely first week back as we started our new topic Our Community. We began by thinking about Bonfire Night, learning about Guy Fawkes and how to stay safe around fireworks. The children created beautiful firework paintings and really enjoyed using ribbons as sparklers!
In phonics, our new sound has been ‘e’ for elephant, and in maths we have been practising 1:1 correspondence and recognising when groups have equal amounts.
During Drawing Club, we explored the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears and created some fantastic drawings inspired by the story. For our new topic, we’ve been learning about our school community – we even went on a walk around the school and spotted it on Google Maps!
Everyone has settled back in so well, and we’re excited for a fun and busy term ahead!
Have a great weekend.
