Welcome back to the Spring Term!
We hope everyone had a lovely time over the festive period and that you are ready for the first term of 2020.
As ever, the next 6 weeks will be packed with lots of exciting learning, including not one, but two trips. On Monday 13th January, Owl Class will be visiting Witney Community Hospital as part of the I.M.P.S programme, and on Wednesday 15th January, we are off to Didcot Sewage Works which links with our Geography work this term.
SATs Booster Clubs – These important clubs will run from the week beginning 13.1.2020
Tuesday’s sessions will focus on Maths and will be led by Mrs Atherstone and Mrs Tingley, and Thursday’s session will focus on English, and will be run by Mrs Clark. It is vital that as many Year 6 children as possible attend both of the sessions, as they provide opportunities for the children to revise all of the objectives taught so far, and will help to prepare them for the SATs format and procedures.
If any parents have any questions about the booster groups, please don’t hesitate to contact us using our school email addresses on our class page.
P.E – Taught on Tuesday and Friday
P.E. this term will be focusing on the ‘Real PE’ scheme of work as well as focusing on team games, including High 5 netball.
Can we please as that all children have the correct P.E. kit in school at all times and that they are properly equipped for sessions when we may be outside in colder weather conditions.
Homework for Years 5 & 6 will continue to be given out on a weekly basis. All children are expected to complete their homework tasks and to hand them in on time. If there are any issues with completion of homework, please contact a member of staff.
