On Thursday, Hedgehog Class had a ‘cosmic’ day celebrating World Book day. We started the day with our Bookie breakfast, where we got a chance to share some books and find out about each other’s costumes. We then went into our classroom and discussed our characters or words for the day: a special shoutout to Amelie, who was the Cheshire Cat, and Luna, who was the Hatter from Alice in Wonderland, for their exceptional effort with their costumes. We then enjoyed a very relaxed whole class reading session, listening to our class book Cosmic and enjoying the sensory lights on the ceiling. Every class in the school then had another teacher share a story with them and Hedgehogs were lucky enough to have Mrs Pascoe read a lovely story to them called ‘The Skies Above my Eyes,’ linking well to our space topic.
