What a lovely week we have had!
We have been super busy in English, working hard on our information leaflets about how astronauts can survive in space. We have researched key information and sorted them into subheadings, ready to publish next week.
In maths, year 1 have been consolidating their early number work, looking at composition of numbers to 20 and addition equations. Year 2 have been looking at measure: mass, volume and capacity.
In science we looked at personal hygiene and how we can keep ourselves safe and healthy. We used glitter to show how quickly germs can spread to different surfaces! We then thought about how we could get rid of these germs.
In history we really impressed Mrs Tingley, who came to visit us. We showcased our great learning on different explorers and had some great ideas when we compared who we thought was the bravest and most significant.
In RE we pondered the question “does completing Hajj make a person a better Muslim?”. Some of us thought yes, some of us thought no. We had a debate, and backed up our thoughts with reasons. We have such a great understanding in Hedgehogs of different religions, and we have had really insightful questions too.
In PE we did yoga with Mrs Rideout because it was too hot for outdoor PE. With Miss Hatt we learnt more about rounders and looked at the skill of getting a batter out.
Have a great weekend!
