Wow I can’t believe we have one week left of the year! Time has flown.
This week has been a bit of a funny one.
We started the week with Mrs Tingley, teaching us all about diamante poems and their structure, we even had a go at writing our own. We also learnt about temperature in maths, and balanced diets in science. We also enjoyed buddy reading with our year 5/6 buddies.
On Tuesday, we had some visitors from another school come and watch how amazing we are at our Mastering Early Number maths sessions – they were very impressed with our reasoning skills! We also wrote up our information texts into our extended write books. In the afternoon, Mrs Rideout taught computing and we had a go at using Beebots.
Mrs Bungay looked after the class on Wednesday, collecting space nouns, verbs and adjectives in English, solving word problems in maths, and designing our very own Explorer Top Trump cards in the afternoon!
On Thursday we had our transition day – everyone was so excited to meet their new teachers!
Finally, on Friday we wrote our own space-themed diamante poem, using all of the words we collected, and published them.
Have a great weekend!
