This week has flown!
We have been super busy in Hedgehogs for Science Week. We went on a bug hunt on Wednesday, looking at the biodiversity in our school grounds; on Thursday we had a very exciting visit from Mr and Mrs Coleman and we did an interesting experiment. We started with a problem: Humpty Dumpty falling off the wall, then we designed and created a solution: making a soft landing for him! We worked really well with our partners and took on feedback to improve our structures, and we had a really fun time too!
In English we have been drafting and publishing our narratives! We have been retelling the story of the Snow Queen written from Gerda’s perspective. In Maths, Year 1 have been looking at the numbers 11-20 and their place value. Year 2 have been recapping adding two-digit numbers.
In history we have been looking at Shackleton’s amazing journey to Antarctica, and the events that unfolded. We then placed these key events on a timeline.
In RE we looked at why Christians believed Jesus was so special. In PSHE we looked at keeping ourselves healthy and safe use of medicines. In PE we practised hitting a moving target.
Have a great weekend!
