Wow, what a week – snow!
We have been working very hard this week:
In English we have been planning and publishing our character description – we have used lots of great vocab and sentence types to describe Mrs Noah from our story, Mrs Noah’s Pockets.
In maths, Year 1 have been doing some assessments! I have been very impressed with how maturely they have tackled them, and of course, how well they did. In Year 2 we have been looking at exchanged ten ones for one ten! We have played lots of games to show this, and have looked at adding two 2 digit numbers together.
In Science, we went on an Autumn walk around the school grounds. We looked at all of the trees and noticed what colour the leaves were. We discovered that trees change throughout the seasons and observed that we must be in Autumn because the leaves are falling to the ground!
In History we looked at the railway station that used to be in Witney and how it benefited Witney Blankets. We also discussed what life might be like if we still had it.
Finally, we have been continuing practising our singing and acting for our nativity. We are sounding so amazing!
Have a good weekend!
