We have had another wonderful week in Hedgehog Class. We have had some exciting opportunities this week: the whole school attended the Oxford Music Service to record some songs. On Tuesday, a team of year 5s and 6s participated in the national Primary Maths Quiz Championships and worked incredibly well as a team. A big well done to Sophia T, Evie M, Abdullah B and Jacob B! We also had a team participate in the EPA Cricket tournament at Eynsham Cricket Club on Tuesday. Well done to Henry H and Henry W for an outstanding contribution to the year 5/6 team.
In Science, we were learning about natural selection through sweets: we all chose a sweet from a bowl and then analysed which sweets had been selected first, and which were still in the bowl at the end. The largest and most vibrant sweets, the Fruitella, were taken first, whilst the small dolly mixtures were still left at the end. We thought carefully about how this represents animals in the natural world.
I hope you all have a wonderful half term.
