Another busy week!
On Wednesday, we had our long-awaited Sports Day! The children showed fantastic team spirit, determination and sportsmanship throughout the events. A huge well done to Green Team, who were our overall winners. Thank you so much to everyone who came and helped tidy up!
Then on Friday, we had a fantastic Science Day across the school. Children worked in pairs to carry out a range of mini investigations. These included testing biodegradable packaging and building wind turbines to explore how we can harness energy. It was wonderful to see so much curiosity, collaboration and critical thinking in action.
In English, we’ve been exploring leaflets and explanation texts, learning about their key features and thinking about how they are written to inform and engage.
In Maths, Year 2 have been focusing on measurement, tackling tasks involving length and height and comparing metres and centimetres, while Year 1 have been building confidence by recapping addition and subtraction strategies.
And in DT, the children had lots of fun designing and making their own monsters!
Have a great weekend!
