A big welcome back to everybody. We have all settled in very quickly and have been working super hard this week.
This week we have started a brand new class text in English – ‘Mrs Noah’s Pockets’. We started our week by having a feel in ‘Mrs Noah’s Pockets’ and deciding what we thought she might have kept in there. We discovered that she had been hiding mythical creatures in there! We are really enjoying this story and the class have offered some great reflections and thoughts about it.
In maths, year 1 have been solidifying their knowledge of number bonds and solving addition problems using these number facts. Year 2 have been using base 10 to help them subtract a 1 digit number from a 2 digit number.
In science we have started our new topic of ‘Seasonal changes’! We are very excited about this topic and they have been very insightful with their current knowledge of this subject.
We have also fully dived in with our Nativity preparations! We have all been given our parts and our lines and are very excited to start learning our songs and our lines. We appreciate your support in helping them learn their lines at home!
Have a great weekend.
