Hedgehog Class News 9.5.25

A short week this week, but lots of hard working!

In English we have been editing and improving our innovated stories. We have also published our stories too! I have been very impressed with our creativity and language skills!

In Maths, year 1 have been continuing our work with money, making amounts and playing shops. Year 2 have started their work on fractions, looking at halves, quarters and thirds.

In art we experimented mixing paint and colours, using different materials: forks, cotton pads, foil, etc – anything but a paintbrush!

In history we looked at a range of explorers from hot places, we delved into Mary Kingsley’s life and what she found. In RE we looked at how Muslims pray and why this shows their commitment to God. In PE we carried on dancing – counting in beats and different stage positions.

We are really looking forward to our trip on Monday – just a reminder for appropriate footwear and suncream and hats, as we will be outside all morning!

Have a great weekend.
