Hedgehogs Class News 12.12.25

We have had such an amazing week in Hedgehogs Class!

🌟 Nativity Performance

This week we joined Bunnies and Busy Bees for our Nativity performance, and the children were absolutely fantastic. They delivered their lines beautifully, sang and danced with confidence, and all the costumes looked wonderful. A huge thank-you to our parents and carers for your support in helping make it such a special event.

🔤 Phonics Stay and Learn

Thank you to all the parents who were able to join us for our Phonics Stay and Learn session on Monday. It was lovely to share the fantastic phonics learning happening in our classroom. If you were unable to attend, please feel free to speak to me anytime, I’m always happy to show you what we’re doing.

🎁 Elfridges

On Tuesday we had a lovely visit from Fosh to take part in ‘Elfridges’. The children had the chance to choose a small gift and wrap it to give to someone they care about. It was a wonderful experience and we are very grateful to FOSH for organising and running such a great activity.

🔥 History – The Great Fire of London

In history, we continued exploring the Great Fire of London. The children enjoyed role-playing what life was like at the time and taking part in a “Who Dunnit?” investigation into who might have started the fire. We also discussed whether primary or secondary sources are more reliable, and the class shared some brilliant ideas.

🧠 Science – The Human Body and Diet

In science, we have been learning about the human body and different types of diets. We explored the differences between herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores, and the children showed great curiosity and understanding.

I don’t know about you but, after all this Christmassy fun, I am feeling very festive.

Have a lovely weekend.

Mr Catling and Miss Leeds.
