What a busy week we have had in Hedgehogs!
The children have worked incredibly hard on their writing this week. We have been planning, drafting, editing and publishing a retelling of The Storm Whale from the whale’s perspective. I have been so impressed with their imaginative ideas, fantastic use of adjectives, and the way they have showcased so much of the learning they have developed throughout the year. Their finished stories are something to be very proud of!
Thank you to everyone who sent in baby photos for our activity on Wednesday. The children had great fun trying to identify their classmates and the adults from their baby photos!
We have also started some of our end of year assessments this week. The children have approached these with a positive attitude and have been trying their very best. I have been very impressed with their effort and resilience. We will be completing a few more assessments over the coming weeks, but there is nothing for the children to worry about, they are simply an opportunity for us to celebrate and reflect on all the progress they have made this year.
We are very much looking forward to our trip to Bournemouth Beach on Monday. A reminder that a ParentMail has been sent with all the information about timings and what the children need to bring. As the weather is forecast to be hot, please ensure your child comes with sun cream applied, a water bottle and a hat.
Have a lovely weekend, and we look forward to an exciting day at the beach!
