We are over halfway there! I cannot believe our Nativity is next week, thanks to those that have brought in their costumes so promptly.
We have been super busy this week in Hedgehog class. We started our week with a lovely Phonics stay and learn, thanks to those that came, we hope you enjoyed and gained a useful insight into how we teach phonics and spellings!
In English we have been looking at different features of a persuasive letter and using these effectively in sentence writing. We came up with some very persuasive rhetorical questions!
In Maths, year 1 have been looking at bar models, and year 2 have been looking at subtracting a 2-digit number from another 2-digit number.
In History we have come to the end of our Witney Blankets topic! We learnt all about how the blanket industry shaped the town of Witney today and looked at some historical buildings that were significant for the industry. I will be sad to see the end of this topic, I know we have all thoroughly enjoyed it.
In science we looked at thermometers and how we can use these to measure temperatures. We then filled out lots of information about Winter, including the temperature, what a deciduous tree may look like, how many daylight hours there are, and what kind of activities you can expect. Mrs Tingley came to watch our science lesson and she was very impressed with our scientific knowledge!
On Thursday we had our pantomime! It was absolutely amazing and I know everyone had the best time.
Have a fantastic weekend.
