Hedgehogs Newsletter – End of the School Year

Wow, what a whirlwind the last few weeks have been!

It is hard to believe that we have reached the end of another fantastic school year.

Firstly, I hope everyone received their postcards! We had such great fun planning, writing and posting them, and I hope they were a lovely surprise for you all.

This week, we thoroughly enjoyed watching the Year 5/6 performance – it was fantastic! We also took part in their Leavers’ Assembly, which was both lovely and emotional. Some of our Hedgehogs were incredibly brave and stood up to share a reading and say their goodbyes. We were so proud of them.

On Thursday, we had a wonderful end-of-year celebration, enjoying lots of delicious snacks while watching The Magic Faraway Tree. Thank you so much to everyone who kindly contributed snacks. It was such a lovely way to celebrate all that we have achieved together this year.

Finally, I have just opened all of the incredibly thoughtful cards and gifts, and I wanted to say a huge thank you. Your kindness and generosity have really touched me. I have felt so appreciated and supported by all of the parents this year and it has been a privilege to be the Hedgehogs class teacher. I will miss each and every child. It has been wonderful watching them grow in confidence, kindness and independence, and I hope I have the opportunity to teach many of them again at some point during their time at Stanton Harcourt.

Thank you once again for all of your support throughout the year. Wishing you all a wonderful, relaxing and well deserved summer holiday. Please do come and say hello in September, I would love to hear how everyone’s summer was!

Have a fantastic summer!
